Het is nu dinsdagmorgen 5 juni 2018. Ik ben net, na ontbijt vertrokken uit Yerevan. Ik heb om 07.00uur ontbijt gekregen van de aardige dame bij de receptie. Om 7.30 uur ben ik na een heerlijke rustperiode vetrokken. Ik heb de route bekeken en denk in ongeveer 6 uur rijden dicht bij de grens te zijn. Onderweg begon het direct wat te stijgen en ik rijd over schitterende bergpassen. Direct na Yerevan zie ik ook de berg Ararat die nog op Turks grondgebied ligt. Mijn planning is om aan het einde van de dag in Kapan aan te komen. Onderweg geniet ik van de schitterende bergpassen en de vergezichten. Ik moet wel erg goed uitkijken want de wegen stijgen en ze zitten vol gaten en kuilen. Ik moet erg geconcentreerd rijden. Tegen de avond ben ik inderdaad in Kapan. Ik heb dan geen 6 maar 9 uur gereden. De hoteleigenaar zegt dat het morgen nog ongeveer 2 uur rijden is naar de Iraanse grens.
